Tutorial Four& Five: Video Production Sessions

This week we had the task of creating a short 30 second video, creating a Youtube account and then posting the video onto Youtube.
Due to technical difficulties my group has not yet uploaded or video onto Youtube, but I will tell you about Youtube in the mean time...
Youtube is a website that started up in February 1995 and according to Youtube itself is "the world's most popular online video community, allowing millions of people to discover, watch and share originally-created videos".
Anyone can use Youtube to view video's for entertainment, education, to discover world events or just for fun. Likewise, anyone can post videos to the site, sharing information with others. Youtube allows you to share videos vis the internet, blog sites, mobile phones and email.
I will post a video, off Youtube, relaying the first 5 years of Youtube and the sites milestones.
Enjoy!

I am also to provide a brief account on how the use of planning aided our groups short film.
For our short 30 second video we used storyboarding and scripting. Planning first what we were going to say and do gave our film some structure and made it easier to carryout as everyone knew what their role was in the video. Drawing a storyboard was helpful to refer to when we got offtrack or needed to know what the next scene required us to do. Without planning using these tools our video would have taken a lot longer to create.

Tutorial Three: Blog Creation Tasks

To be writing this I obviously had to create a blog.. To do this I first had to create a google account.
Once I had this, I was able to sign up to blogger and personalize my blog! this involved:
  • Choosing a blog template
  • Creating a blog title
  • Providing a blog outline (what was the purpose of this blog)
  • Complete a blog profile including a profile picture, age, gender etc..
Once I had completed this I was all ready to start posting comments on my blog!
This week I am to provide a brief summary of the services that Blogger provides...

A blog is a place to share your thoughts, interests, photos, videos... or anything else you would like to share. You can let people find you and connect with old friends (but only if you wish).
You can design your blog to reflect your personality and make it as unique as you desire.
Blogger also has the ability to connect you even when you are without a computer. You can blog straight from your mobile phone to your blog page so you can share your thoughts/photos etc even on the run. The best thing: its all totally free to do so.
Other websites that offer similar services to blog are...

That's me, Bye!
